Dental Implants in Karnal
A missing tooth changes how you chew, how you smile, even how you speak. Maybe you've been covering your mouth in photos, or quietly chewing on one side for years. You don't have to keep adjusting around a gap.

What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small screw made of titanium, a metal your body accepts as its own, placed into the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Over a few months, the bone grows around it and holds it firmly, just like a natural tooth root.
Once it has settled, a crown (an artificial tooth made to match your other teeth) is fixed on top. The result looks, feels and chews like your own tooth. You clean it by brushing, exactly like the rest of your teeth.
Unlike a removable denture, an implant does not come out at night. Unlike a bridge, it does not require grinding down the healthy teeth next to the gap.
Is this right for me?
An implant may suit you ifโฆ
โ You have one or more missing teeth and want a fixed replacement
โ A tooth is beyond saving and needs extraction anyway
โ Your denture is loose, uncomfortable or you're tired of removing it
โ You'd rather not grind healthy neighbouring teeth for a bridge
โ Your gums and general health are reasonably stable
An implant may NOT be the right first step ifโฆ
โ Your gums are actively infected, gum treatment comes first, then implants
โ Your diabetes or other health conditions are uncontrolled, we'll work with your physician to get you ready first
โ You smoke heavily and aren't willing to pause around surgery, healing suffers, and we'll tell you that honestly
The only way to know for certain is an examination and a 3D scan, which we send you to a nearby imaging centre for. Sometimes we advise a different option, and we'll say so.
What happens, step by step
The full journey takes 3-4 months, but your actual time in the chair is only a few hours in total.
Consultation, then a 3D scan, Visit 1
We examine your mouth and send you for a 3D scan (CBCT) at a nearby imaging centre, which measures your bone precisely. You bring the images back and we plan from them here. You get a clear plan before anything starts, with no commitment at this visit.
Implant placement, Visit 2 (about 1 hour)
Done under local anesthesia, the same numbing injection used for a filling. The injection pinches for a few seconds; after that you feel pressure, not pain. Most patients say it was easier than the extraction they'd had before. You go home the same day and can usually work the next day.
Healing, 3 to 4 months
The bone quietly grows around the implant. Nothing is required from you except normal brushing and a couple of short check-ups. You'll have a neat temporary option for a visible gap, so you're never left with an obvious missing front tooth.
Final crown, 1 to 2 short visits
We take measurements and fix your permanent crown, matched to the shape and colour of your natural teeth. Then you simply chew, smile and forget about it.
Will it hurt? Honest answers
During the procedure
The anesthesia injection pinches for a few seconds. After that, you feel pushing and vibration but not pain. If you feel anything sharp, tell us, we stop and top up the numbness. You are awake and in control throughout.
First 48 hours
Expect mild soreness and slight swelling, like a bruise inside the mouth. Ordinary painkillers we prescribe keep it comfortable for most people. Eat soft, cool food the first day. Most patients are back at work or school the next day.
Back to normal
Soreness fades within 3-5 days. Stitches (if any) are removed or dissolve in about a week. You chew on the implant only once the final crown is fitted, we'll tell you exactly when.
Why get implants at a surgeon's clinic?
Placing an implant is a surgical procedure, it happens in the bone, near nerves and sinuses. At many clinics, straightforward cases are done in-house and anything harder is referred out.
Here, implants are placed by an oral & maxillofacial surgeon, the specialty trained specifically in surgery of the jaws.
That matters most when a case isn't textbook: thin bone, an old infection, a sinus sitting low. Those situations are managed here in-clinic, with 3D planning, no referral, no trip to Delhi.
And the crown? The tooth that goes on your implant is designed by Dr. Kusha Dhawan Mehta, MDS Prosthodontist, the specialty trained in making replacement teeth look and feel like your own. Surgeon places it, prosthodontist perfects it: both halves of implant treatment, one clinic, one shared plan.
